Our latest offering "Contemplation" is a meditative and reflective piece that's a bit different from what you've heard from us before - it still features the classic Local Dialect analog sounds and soaring melodies, but the track as a whole is more chilled-out and spacey. The breakdown samples a sermon from the famous Thai monk Buddhadasa about the trap of "diṭṭhi," or "views." Diṭṭhi refers to our preconceived notions and mental conditioning that we latch onto which informs our worldview and our attitude towards life. Hanging on too tightly to these notions can lead to conflict, and can lead us further astray from nirvana - the ultimate "unconditioned" state of mind free of all doctrines that binds us to this world.

This is our second time self-releasing music, and we thought it was the perfect opportunity to experiment with a different style of music. We appreciate you coming along for the journey and we hope you'll enjoy the change of pace as much we enjoyed making it!
